Pricing FAQ
- What does the individual plan cost?
- €20/month for 10 machines, each 2 vCPU / 8 GiB / 100 GB, with unlimited runtime, SSH, fork, and public URLs. Includes a 7-day free trial — no credit card to start.
- How does team pricing work?
- Usage-based — you pay for the compute your team actually runs, not a flat per-seat fee. Talk to us and we'll size it to your workload. Includes team management, SSO, priority support, and volume pricing.
- On the Team plan, do we pay while machines are paused?
- No. Team billing is usage-based — idle VMs cost €0. Machines suspend to disk when dormant and resume in sub-millisecond when traffic arrives, so you pay only for active compute.
- Can I get bigger VMs or more than 10 machines?
- Yes. The €20/month plan ships with 10 VMs at 2 vCPU / 8 GiB each. For larger shapes (4 vCPU / 16 GiB, 8 vCPU / 32 GiB, or bigger) or more than 10 concurrent machines, email contact@boxd.sh with the shape you need and we'll quote it.
- What is included in the Enterprise plan?
- Self-hosted boxd as a single Rust binary you run in your own VPC, datacenter, or country. No Kubernetes, no external Postgres, no Redis. EU data residency, SSO + audit logs, annual license, dedicated support. Fits DORA / NIS2 reviews and EU sovereignty requirements.
